China's wine shelf life is generally 10 or 15 years, while some foreign wines have been stored for decades, many do not have a shelf life to say.
China's imported wines are usually labeled with a shelf life of 10 or 15 years on the back label, because to meet the requirements of the national food hygiene regulations, in any imported food labels have to be written on the shelf life, for wine, a relatively special commodity is no exception, and 15 years is the longest shelf life of the current state regulations.
But the shelf life of wine is not an exact concept. Because of some differences between domestic and foreign countries, foreign wine trademarks are not labeled with shelf life, there is no concept of shelf life. And when foreigners buy wine, most of them like to store it, and some of them store it for decades.
Precautions for wine preservation:
1. Wine bottles must be placed diagonally, horizontally, or upside down so that the wine liquid is in contact with the cork to keep the cork moist.
2. Wine should be placed in a place that is free from strong light (including sunlight and strong light).
3. The appropriate temperature for wine preservation is 10-16℃, the lower the temperature, the slower the maturation.
4. The best humidity for wine preservation is 60%-80%, but wine labels are prone to mold when the humidity exceeds 75%.
5. Avoid putting wine together with odor and unsmellable items when preserving wine, so as to avoid mixing wine with other flavors.
