Hua is one of the characters in the novel Red Rock. The prototype of the flower is Han Zidong from Yanggu, Shandong. 1933 joined the party, 1934 was arrested for selling out traitors.

After his arrest, Han Zidong was transferred to the secret prisons of the Kuomintang in Peiping, Nanjing, Wuhan, Yiyang, Xifeng and Chongqing for 14 years. In order not to expose party member's identity, a * * *, prison, Han Zidong a dull face all day, slovenly. Rain or shine, he always trotted along the lookout dam in Baifu. The spy guard thought he was locked up and crazy, so he called him "crazy old man".

Han Zidong (1908— 1992), a native of yanggu county, Shandong Province, is the prototype of Hua, one of the main characters in the red classic novel Red Rock. During 1930, Han Zidong went to Beijing to study from his hometown. Because of his poor family, he had to work part-time, work in a bookstore, and attend lectures in the Economics Department of China University.

It was during my time as a clerk in a bookstore that I got to know the underground party member, and was absorbed into the China organization on 1932. Because of the student's public identity, he was quickly ordered to infiltrate the undercover of the Kuomintang secret service organization "Blue Clothes Club", went deep into the core of enemy agents, and intercepted a lot of important information.

Two years later, the underground party organization in Beiping was destroyed, and Han Zidong was unfortunately arrested and imprisoned. The secret service hates the red scout who got in, and often tortures and destroys him in every way in an attempt to open a gap from him. Han Zidong's perseverance and strict secrecy made the spy helpless. The Kuomintang authorities listed him as a political prisoner and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
