One, strawberry planting time

Although the survival rate of spring field planting is high, the number of fruits is small and the yield is low due to factors such as fast flowering and slow seedling establishment of the plant after planting. It is not currently being used. Heeling during fall planting, if used in young seedlings, can be done from late September to mid-October in southern China. Practice has shown that it is desirable to plant seedlings early at the right time after they have reached the standard. Because early planting at the right time, not only can prevent the aging of the heel within the seedling, but also ensure that the seedling is slowed down and slowed down after a longer period of growth, very conducive to ensuring that the plant is safe to overwinter and increase the yield in the coming year. Two, strawberry planting density
Flat bed or raised bed planting, row spacing 20 ~ 25 cm, plant spacing 15 ~ 25 cm, generally 1.0 ~ 1.2 m bed planting 4 ~ 5 rows. Within a certain range, the yield of the same variety increases with the increase in planting density. Generally to plant 150,000 ~ 220,000 plants per hectare is appropriate, up to 300,000 plants (equivalent to 10,000 ~ 15,000 plants per mu, up to 20,000 plants).
Three, strawberry planting method
Whether it is border planting or ridge planting, the direction of planting seedlings in each row should be the same, i.e., the arch back facing a direction. This planting is easy to manage, such as flower and fruit thinning, fruit matting and harvesting. If planted in flat beds, the direction of the arched backs of the seedlings should be inward when walking to avoid stepping on the inflorescences and fruits; if planted in raised beds, the direction of the arched backs of the seedlings should be outward, so that the light can be increased; if planted in large ridges, the direction of the arched backs of the seedlings should also be outward, so that it is easy to manage and the light can be increased. The planting depth of strawberries should be the base of the seedling core flush with the ground, too deep or too shallow are not suitable. Planting too deep, because the seedling core is buried in the soil, will cause the seedling core to rot, so that the plant will die. Planting too shallow, with part of the root system exposed, will cause the seedlings to dry out and die. The day before planting, heels in the nursery or in pots should be watered to ensure that seedlings are planted with no or little root damage. When planting, plan a pit that is larger than the root system so that the roots can extend naturally. It is best to plant with seedlings. The survival rate will be higher if they can be planted with clods of soil. Packing containers should not be too large and there should be gaps between containers. Allow their roots to absorb enough water before transporting the seedlings.
