Although electric pressure cookers are safer and more practical than ordinary pressure cookers, there are still hidden dangers if they are used improperly. What causes will lead to the harm of electric pressure cookers? Let's take a look with us.
1. Improper selection
First of all, we must buy pressure cookers selectively, and we must choose pressure cookers with brands, manufacturers, specifications and qualified quality. Don't buy fake goods. Pressure cookers are divided into four types: 2.22.24.26 cm. You can buy a small size with a small population; With a large population, it is natural to buy a large size. But considering the thermal efficiency, you'd rather choose a bigger one. Pressure cookers are divided into three types: aluminum, aluminum alloy and stainless steel. Each of them has its own characteristics: aluminum is light in weight, fast in heat transfer and cheap in price, and its service life can reach more than 2 years. But using it will undoubtedly increase the absorption of aluminum, and long-term use of it is not good for health. Aluminum alloy products are better than pure aluminum products, durable and strong. Although the stainless steel pressure cooker is expensive, it is heat-resistant, beautiful, difficult to react with acid, alkali and salt in food, and has the longest service life, which can reach more than 3 years. Therefore, even if you spend more money at a time, you'd better buy a stainless steel one.
2. Use without learning
Someone bought a pressure cooker and picked it up without asking or learning, which is the most dangerous. When using the pressure cooker for the first time, you must read the instruction manual of the pressure cooker. Be sure to do it according to the instructions, or ask someone who knows the ropes. Never use it without learning.
3. Do not check before use
When using, first carefully check whether the vent hole is clear and whether the hole under the safety valve seat is blocked by residual rice grains or other food residues. If it is blocked by food during use, the pot should be removed from the fire source, and the aging apron is easy to make the pressure cooker leak, so it needs to be updated in time.
4. The handle does not match
The handle of the pot cover must be completely coincident with the handle of the pot, so that the food can be cooked with electricity, otherwise it will lead to an accident of popping the lid of the pot.
5. Pressurization without authorization
During use, someone arbitrarily increased the weight of the pressurizing valve in order to increase the pressure in the pot and forcibly shorten the production time. I don't know that the pressure in the pot has strict technical parameters. Ignoring this scientific design is tantamount to joking with your own life, which will lead to serious consequences. Don't take this risk! In addition, when in use, if the fusible metal piece (plug) on the pot falls off, it must not be blocked by other metal objects, and a new piece of the same kind should be replaced.
6. Overfilling
When using a pressure cooker to put food raw materials, the capacity should not exceed four-fifths of the internal volume of the cooker, and if it is easily expandable food such as beans, it should not exceed two-thirds of the internal volume of the cooker.
7. Open the lid in the middle
Never open the lid in the middle of the heating process, lest the food burst out and burn people. Do not remove the heavy hammer or pressure regulating device before the cooling is confirmed, so as not to spray food and hurt people. The cover can only be opened after natural cooling or forced cooling.
8. Sharp spatula
After using the pressure cooker, it must be cleaned in time, especially to check whether the safety plug contains food deposits and residues. To keep the appearance of the cooker clean, do not use sharp instruments such as knives, scissors and shovels to shovel the inside and outside of the cooker, otherwise the cooker will easily become concave and convex, or be scratched horizontally and vertically, which will damage the protective layer.
9. Air pressure to open the lid
Before opening the lid, it is necessary to make sure that there is no air pressure in the pot, then remove the pressure limiting valve to ensure that there is no air pressure in the pot before opening the lid, or it can be forced to cool with cold water to reduce the pressure in the pot, and then open the lid when there is no gas discharged from the pot. Pressure cookers in the market all have the safety protection of opening and closing the lid. For example, when there is air pressure in the cooker, the safety rod is in the rising stage, and then the lid cannot be opened according to the normal use method. When there is no air pressure in the cooker, the safety rod descends, and the lid can be opened safely. When exhausting, keep your hands or face away from the exhaust port to avoid burns.
