At present, adult higher education of Xinjiang Normal University is in the forefront of enrollment scale, specialty setting, diversification of teaching forms and development speed among ordinary universities in the autonomous region, cultivating more than 16,000 adult bachelor's and college graduates for the society.

The College of Adult Higher Education has been actively carrying out non-academic education in addition to academic education, and was recognized as the autonomous region's "Computer Application Technology Induction Training Point" in 1995. In December 2001, it became one of the first "training bases for continuing education in universities and colleges (teacher training)", and in 2003, it was approved as a "training point for the National Computer Grade Examination and examination base", which made an outstanding contribution to the continuing education in the autonomous region.
