Jixi is an early developed area in the northeast frontier of China. As early as 6,000 years ago, Su Shen, an ancestor of Jixi, began to thrive in this fertile black land and created a splendid new culture of ancient fishing and hunting civilization.
Jixi City is located in the southeast of Heilongjiang Province, named after the urban area is located at the west foot of Jiguan Mountain. There are four main rivers in Jixi city, all of which belong to Wusuli River system, among which Muling River runs through the whole territory from southwest to northeast. The average annual runoff of rivers in the city is 409 million cubic meters.
Jixi is rich in mineral resources. Up to 20 10, 54 kinds of mineral resources have been discovered and 28 kinds of reserves have been discovered, mainly including coal, graphite, sillimanite, potash feldspar, marble, gold, palladium, platinum and mineral water.
