Topographic characteristics of Guangzhou
Guangzhou is a hilly area with a high northeast and a low southwest, with mountains facing the sea, hilly areas in the north and concentrated forests. The highest peak is the Paradise Peak at the junction of Conghua City and Longmen County in the north, with an altitude of 12 10 meters. The northeast of Guangzang is a middle-low mountain, Baiyun Mountain is called the city lung, the middle is a hilly basin, and the south is a coastal alluvial plain, which is an integral part of the Pearl River Delta.
Guangzhou is located in the south water-rich area, with developed water system, numerous large and small rivers and vast waters. There are 22 rivers with rainfall collection area exceeding 100 square kilometer, and 22 rivers with river width exceeding 5 meters 1368 rivers with total length of 5,597.36 kilometers and river density of 0.75 kilometers/square kilometer, which constitute the unique cultural characteristics of Lingnan water town.
