Located 3000 kilometers west of Chile.
Jacob Rogoff discovered this island on Easter Day, so it is called Easter Island.
The whole island is civilized, with more than 300 megalithic statues. These prehistoric statues represent an unknown civilization and are said to be of the same origin as the Inca civilization. However, the island civilization of Easter Island seems to be inexplicably interrupted and disappeared, so it is called the lost island civilization.
The earliest inhabitants of the island called it Rapa Nui or Te Pito te Henua (meaning "the navel of the world").
The first Europeans to land on the island were Dutch. They named the island Paaseiland, which means "Easter Island" to commemorate the day they arrived. The indigenous Polynesians on the island call this island "the center of the world".
The residents of the island are mixed, mainly Polynesians, and almost all of them live in Galoya village on the west coast with barriers, with a population of 576 1 (data 20 12).
