Coca-Cola ranks first in the soft drink market in China.
According to Euromonitor data, the top three companies in the soft drink industry in 2020 are Coca-Cola (mainly engaged in carbonated drinks), Yangshengtang (mainly engaged in packaged drinking water) and Dingxin (mainly engaged in tea drinks), with market share of 9.3%, 8.4% and 5.8% respectively.
From the brand dimension, in 2020, among the top 20 brands in China, Coca-Cola will occupy four, Pepsi and Uni-President will occupy two respectively, and the rest enterprises will only occupy one.
Packaging drinking water enterprises are more popular.
At present, the packaged drinking water brands represented by Nongfu Spring and Ipoh occupy a large soft drink market in China soft drink industry. In 2020, Nongfu Spring will be the largest brand in the domestic soft drink market, with a market share of 7.0%. Three of the top six brands are packaged drinking water brands.
In 2020, only Nongfu Spring, Yibao, Sprite and Baisuishan in the top six brands of soft drinks industry in China have increased their market share compared with 20 19, and the other three brands except Sprite are all packaged drinking water brands. It can be seen that consumers in China prefer packaged drinking water, and packaged drinking water enterprises are more popular.

At present, more and more manufacturers are looking to the soft drink industry. Players who have not entered this market before, such as Yili and Mengniu, will enter this market by launching new products.
