What are the taboos on children's asthma diet?
Children with asthma should have a light diet with little stimulation, and should not be too full, too salty, too sweet, and avoid irritating foods such as cold and spicy. Excessive spicy foods include pepper, mustard, horseradish, pepper, garlic, vinegar, white wine or some condiments (pepper noodles, pepper noodles), and the irritating smell volatilized from these spicy foods can easily lead to acute asthma attacks. Cold food such as cold drinks, ice cream and food just taken out of the refrigerator can also induce asthma, especially children with cold asthma must pay attention to avoid cold or cold food. Eating some raw fruits such as mango, peach or some nuts can also induce allergic asthma. 2 Avoid allergic foods Acute asthma attacks are often related to certain food allergies, and avoiding such foods is often the simplest and most effective way to avoid asthma attacks. Doctors should guide patients to make a diet plan, which can not only avoid food containing allergens, but also get enough nutrition. For asthma attacks suspected to be caused by food allergy (especially asthma attacks after meals or at night), doctors should check food allergens (IgE should be checked, not IgG) for children to determine the types of food allergens. After taking targeted foods to avoid allergies, the probability of food-induced allergic asthma can be reduced. In children with asthma complicated with eczema, milk and eggs are often the main allergens, so once diagnosed, all dairy products or egg products, including milk slices, cream bread, toffee, cakes and so on, should be fasted. Patients who are allergic to soybeans often have allergic reactions to other kinds of beans, such as broad beans and green beans. Therefore, if they are allergic to one kind of beans, they should avoid eating other beans. Patients who are allergic to mold should avoid eating fungus, mushrooms, pine nuts and so on. Seafood (including shrimp, crab, squid, fish, shellfish and mussels) is one of the main foods that induce asthma. Because many seafood are rich in histidine, this kind of heterosexual protein can release a lot of histamine (allergic substances) when it is stored in the refrigerator for a long time or not, thus causing allergic asthma and cough. Children with asthma should try to avoid frozen or stale seafood. 3 Controlling the intake of oil and greasy food can increase airway responsiveness. Asthma patients often complain that eating greasy food will lead to excessive phlegm or chest tightness, so the intake of oil and fat should be properly controlled. Studies have confirmed that lipid substances can affect the gas exchange of asthma patients. 4 It is not advisable to overeat foods with high protein content. High-protein foods are common allergens that induce allergies. Therefore, children with allergic asthma should be cautious when eating a large number of high-protein foods (such as seafood, milk, eggs and meat). Peptone that has not been decomposed in the intestine can easily lead to allergies or asthma attacks after being absorbed into the blood.
