1) Fast growth: duckbill is one of the fastest-growing sturgeon among freshwater fishes. Fry hatched in the same year can reach an average body length of 9 centimeters after 25 to 30 days of cultivation. Under the condition of sufficient food, the young fish can reach more than 50cm in the first year, weighing more than 500g. Generally speaking, the normal growth of 100 days, the average full-length can reach 25cm, and the current year's fry are raised to the end of the year, the average weight reaches about 1kg, and the second-aged individuals can reach more than 3kg.
2) Wide temperature: survival water temperature 0 ~ 37 ℃, can live underwater in the northern freezing, but also in Guangdong summer pond (32 ℃ of the bottom of the pond, 35 ℃ of the water surface) normal life, so basically the whole country can be cultured.
3) High price: At present, the market price of keystone sturgeon in Sichuan area is about 60 RMB/kg for 500g or more, 33 RMB/kg in Guangzhou, and 50 RMB/kg in Hubei, and there is a big difference in the price in different places.
