If you want to keep it for a longer period of time and not let the crabs get thin, you can feed the crabs some small shrimp or small fish or something, plus a little weed is best. If the crabs you want to raise are river crabs just use fresh water to raise them, if they are sea crabs you also need to put some salt in the water to make the water salty closer to its growing environment.
