The practice of eight-treasure rice
Step 1
Wash and soak the glutinous rice one day in advance. If it's very hot, it's best to put it in the refrigerator for soaking.
Step 2
Whether it's long glutinous rice or round glutinous rice, it's ok, just see if you like it. The next day, you can steam the soaked glutinous rice in a pot or cook it with a rice cooker. Remember to add a proper amount of water, and the amount of water is not more than a finger.
Step 3
When cooking glutinous rice, stir-fry the stuffing. My two fillings were made in advance and frozen. Taro paste is made by myself, and lotus seed paste is bought as a mooncake filling. The fillings are hard, so we have to deal with them, add some water and lard, and fry them in a non-stick pan until they are soft.
Step 4
I prepared a lot of dried fruits and candied fruits ~ I basically took out everything at home, haha. If the dried candied fruit is hard, soak it in hot water to soften it, which is better for the bottom of the bowl.
Step 5
When the glutinous rice is steamed, add a tablespoon of lard and white sugar while it is hot and mix well (or brown sugar). If the stuffing is sweet, you can put less sugar.
Step 6
I made small bowls, the kind of bowls for eating, so I made about three bowls of 300 grams of white glutinous rice. If you want to use this round and deep bowl, it will be round and beautiful if you buckle it backwards!
Step 7
Brush the bottom of the bowl with lard, so that it can be reversed. Then give full play to your artistic talent! Code the dried fruit preserves ~
Step 8
Start filling glutinous rice and stuffing. A circle of glutinous rice, empty in the middle to put stuffing, I put both together, this taste is richer, besides, these two kinds of stuffing tastes quite integrated! Finally, spread a layer of glutinous rice to fill it up.
Step 9
Before filling, I also added wax gourd candy to some bowls. Feel free to put some other dried candied fruit as a sandwich, which is full of surprises ~ cook and steam for 30 minutes.

It's steamed, put it on the plate and buckle it backwards! Wow, perfect!
