In the process of grass carp culture, it is necessary to choose abandoned ponds with convenient transportation, sufficient water and sunny ventilation as breeding places. Before breeding, all impurities in the pond should be cleaned up, soaked in quicklime solution for a week for disinfection, and then the water inlet and water outlet of the pond should be sealed with fishing nets.
Matters needing attention in grass carp culture
Feed grass carp regularly, adequately and evenly every day, and strive to spread the forage so that the fish can eat well. The feeding amount should be adjusted according to the weather, water quality and fish activities. It is forbidden to feed forage that has been stored for a long time and is moldy and deteriorated, so as to avoid grass carp being infected with diseases.
Grass carp can't be fed coarse and hard forage because of its small caliber in the juvenile stage. It is best to feed duckweed, Cyperaceae and other forage, or feed fresh and tender long-leaved grass after mowing. In the future, with the growth of fish age, the caliber will gradually increase, and it can be transferred to feeding conventional fresh forage.
