Guyuan is a kind of medicine, also called calcium carbonate effervescent granules, which is used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency. Its main chemical composition is calcium carbonate. Generally, it is not suitable for combination with digitalis drugs. And drinking a lot of drinks containing alcohol and caffeine and smoking a lot will inhibit the absorption of this calcium agent. Eating a lot of foods rich in cellulose will also inhibit the absorption of calcium, because calcium and cellulose combine to form compounds that are not easily absorbed. Vitamin D, birth control pills and estrogen can increase the absorption of solid elements. Aluminum-containing antacid is taken with Guyuan, and the absorption of aluminum increases. Hypercalcemia is easy to occur when Guyuan is combined with thiazide diuretics (due to the increase of calcium reabsorption by renal tubules). Attention should be paid to the occurrence of arrhythmia when Guyuan is combined with potassium-containing drugs. Patients with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium-containing kidney calculi, or a history of kidney calculi are forbidden to use Guyuan.
Guyuan is usually taken orally. Each package is dissolved in about 10ml warm water or cold water, completely dissolved and taken after clarification. According to human needs and the supply of dietary calcium, supplement it as appropriate, or follow the doctor's advice. 250~ 1200mg mg (Calculated as ca) daily, taken in batches.
