Introduction:
Episode 1: Lijun's Womanhood
Meng Lijun, a talented woman who is good at martial arts, decides to disguise herself as a man to participate in a talent competition in the Yunlin Forest, only to find that her father, Shiyuan, asks her to accompany her to the mountains to collect herbs on the day of the competition. In order to get out of the competition, Lijun sets up a difficult chess game to lure Shiyuan into thinking, while she herself takes the opportunity to rush to the competition venue. Lijun plays on her brother's behalf in the tournament, and the Dongyue Academy wins the game. Timur passes by to join in the fun, and Marco Polo, who is also traveling with her, tests Lijun's mathematical skills by asking her whether she is a student of dead books. Lijun is sentenced to a closed-door meditation for winning the gold coins, but late at night, Lijun is attracted by the sound of a flute coming from afar. Lijun uses chess books as bait to make Shi Yuan let her attend the temple fair. In the temple fair, Huangfu Shaohua saw a bully Liu Kuibi insulting a pair of siblings selling arts in public and taught him a lesson. Lijun tries to tease Tiemuer but snatches his jade pendant in the confusion, and Tiemuer's henchman Ah Sang wrongly accuses Shao Hua of being a thief. Lijun is y offended that Tie Muer regards herself as a thief. When she sees that he has come to see Shiyuan, she claims to be Shiyuan's nephew, Wei Ziyin, and that she can introduce him on his behalf, but in fact, she is secretly planning to play a trick on him.
Episode 2: Lijun and the Three Men
Lijun tricks Tie Muer into going up to Baiyun Mountain to see Shiyuan, but in reality, she intends to play a trick on him, but she ends up hurting herself and turns into a duck. In order to get a prescription for asthma treatment for his father, Tie Mu Er bought a restaurant loft to make amends to Lijun, but he offended Kui Bi, who was planning to buy a loft to have fun. Kui Bi took advantage of the fight between his men and the crowd to assassinate Lijun, but Tie Mu Er saved her, and she fell into Tie Mu Er's embrace. When Kui Bi returns home, his mother finds out that he is fighting with the Mongols, and advises him not to provoke the Mongols, lest his father, Liu Jie, will be blamed for his actions.
Lijun has changed her mind about Tiemuer, but her servant girl, Ronglan, makes fun of her. Shiyuan listens to Lijun's advice and goes to the mountains to pick loquat leaves. Lijun then avoids accompanying her mother to a nunnery to pray to Buddha by trickery, and finally takes advantage of the two men's absence to go out for a trip. Lijun encounters Tiemuer while viewing the lanterns. Unexpectedly, Shaohua suddenly appears, and Lijun turns around and runs away in order to avoid being exposed for stealing the jade pendant. When Shaohua and Tiemuer are besieged by Kui Bi's men, Lijun feels that the incident is caused by herself and helps them. Tiemuer, Shaohua, Lijun and Marco Polo celebrate their victory over Kui Bi by drinking wine, and in the spirit of the occasion, they even become "An Ta" (安答). Lijun gets drunk and reveals her daughter's identity, but the others are not impressed. Lijun suddenly hears a familiar flute sound and goes to check it out, but she misunderstands that the flute player is Tiemuer and falls in love with him. Kui Bik flirts with a nun in a temple and meets Ying Xue, Lijun's servant girl. He is attracted to her and misunderstands that she is Lijun. When Shaohua plays chess with Tiemuer, Lijun, who doesn't want Shaohua to admit defeat too early, shows her excellent chess skills and wins the game.
Episode 3: Tie Muer's Plan to Get the Prescription
Lijun and Tie Muer go on a boat ride on the lake, and they talk about their political views on the "Mongolia and Han Dynasty", which makes Tie Muer realize what they are talking about. Tie Muer is also interested in Lijun's claim that she is the fourth sister in a drunken stupor, and he tries to find out more about her. Shi Yuan's old friend Huang Fu Jing comes all the way to ask Shi Yuan to meet him at a restaurant, where he mentions again that he was engaged to be married many years ago and proposes marriage for his son. Shi Yuan agrees to the proposal, but he is furious when he sees that Lijun is again in disguise with Tie Muer and the others. Lijun goes home in a panic and denies that she has ever traveled in disguise. Later, she argues with Shiyuan over the issue of race, which makes Shiyuan furious.
Shi Yuan decides to keep Huang Fu Jing and his son at home for a while. Lijun alarmistically accuses him of inviting a wolf into his house, but Shi Yuan is not convinced. Lijun doesn't know that Shao Hua is the third brother of Wang Shigang, but she only remembers his appearance when he was young. She even tells Ying Xue and Rong Lan about her past experiences with him, and she still hates him to this day. On the other hand, Shao Hua is grateful to Lijun for saving his life.
Tiemuer visits Shiyuan, hoping that he will give him a prescription for asthma, but Shiyuan refuses to let him out because he is a Mongolian. When Lijun learns about this, she wants to go out to help, but Shiyuan finds out how she escaped from the house. When Shao Hua hears Lijun's music in the middle of the night, he is touched by it. When Shao Hua asks for help to repair the wall of Meng's house, Lijun becomes even more dissatisfied with him. When Tie Mu Er is taught by Lijun, he finally persuades Shiyuan to give him a prescription to cure his illness, but Shiyuan is dissatisfied when he realizes that Lijun is behind the scheme. When Kui Bi's marriage proposal to the Meng family is rejected, he asks his father, Liu Jie, to help him out on the grounds of the reputation of the Liu family. Liu Jie invites Shiyuan to his home and forces him to compete in a martial arts match to recruit a bride for Lijun.
Episode 4: Lijun's Marriage Recruitment
Lijun doesn't want to marry either Shaohua or Kuibi, but she suffers from nightmares about it. Lijun accompanies her mother to the nunnery to pray for the wedding, but she has other plans in mind. Shaohua accompanies Lijun's elder brother Ziru to buy wedding supplies and meets Tiemuer and others. When Marco Polo is excited to attend the wedding banquet, Shaohua has no choice but to tell them about the wedding competition and the reason for his pseudonymity and friendship with the others. Lijun writes a letter to ask Tiemuer to come to the west of the city to confess his love to him, but she is surprised to see Shaohua coming, and realizes that Tiemuer has to go back to the metropolis for some important business.
Shiyuan is upset about the martial arts competition, so he asks Lijun to play chess to forget his worries, and tells him his plan.
Shao Hua and Kui Bi have an archery competition according to Huang Fu Jing's proposal. Although Shao Hua is more skillful than Kui Bi, but he can't distinguish the winner after two rounds, Liu Jie asked them to ride out of town to get the purple jade robe and return, and they actually intend to assassinate Shao Hua, but fortunately Shao Hua is smart enough to defeat Kui Bi and win. Ying Xue rushes to inform Lijun of the result of the match and praises Shaohua, but Lijun insists on taking Ronglan with her, and the three girls are reluctant to leave.
Shiyuan and the others found out that Lijun had run away and did not know how to explain it to Huangfu Jing, so they decided to hide the matter and asked Ziru to find Lijun and return home in a low-profile manner. The story goes that Lijun has decided to hide in the most dangerous place, and Ronglan admires her for that. Shiyuan falsely claims that Lijun has contracted a cold and has to postpone the wedding date. Shaohua wants to buy a jade bracelet for Lijun, but he and Kui Bik's sister Yanyu fall in love with the same bracelet. Shaohua gives up the bracelet, but Yanyu is attracted by his manners. Kui Bik apologizes to Shaohua on his knees and begs him to take him as his pupil. He is drunk and invites Shaohua home to talk about boxing, but Shaohua is not sure if he is a fraud.
Episode 5: Hua's Prison Robbery
Yan Yu is surprised that Kui Bik is with Shaohua and waits for a chance to rescue him. When Kui Bi and his subordinates search Yan Yu's room, Yan Yu saves Shao Hua's life by saying that she has already undressed and is sleeping, so Kui Bi and his subordinates dare not search his couch. Knowing that Kui Bi will not give up easily, Yan Yu decides to take a risky move and tells Liu Jie about Kui Bi's search. Liu Jie is afraid that Shao Hua will report to the police and plans to take action first. Lijun hears a passerby mentioning the prosperity of the metropolis and thinks of Tiemuer, who decides to go to the metropolis, which scares Ronglan. When Tie Muer returns to the palace, he is shocked to see that his father, Zhen Jin, is terminally ill. It turns out that the Khan, Kublai, despises the Han Chinese and drives away all the Han Chinese royal doctors, delaying Zhen Jin's treatment. Tiemuer gives his father the medicine he brought back from Jiangnan, but unexpectedly Zhenjin dies later. Kublai angrily criticizes the Chinese medicine for killing the crown prince and breaks up with Tiemuer. Marco Polo comforts Tiemuer and tells him that he has decided to go back to China.
Episode 6: Kochen's trick to make amends
Kochen, a childhood friend of Tiemuer, realizes that Tiemuer is not in a good mood because of the loss of his father and his falling out with Kublai, so she goes to him to explain to him. Lijun and Ronglan encounter four bandits on the road. When Lijun beats them to a pulp, the leader of the bandits, Wei Yong'e, appears and subdues Lijun. Lijun and Ronglan are brought back to the cottage. The thieves tell them that they are descendants of the Liang Shan heroes and they want to search Lijun and Ronglan for money, but Lijun is in a hurry and claims that she is the son of a rich merchant and that she will write a letter to her father informing him that he is going to send 500,000 taels to them if they are given the best hospitality.
Kuozhen gives Kublai a taste of Han Chinese food, which makes him feel less prejudiced against the Han Chinese. Lijun paints a portrait of Yong'e to make her happy, and Yong'e is mesmerized by her flowery language. Kublai takes the initiative to eliminate his differences with Tiemuer by playing chess. Tiemuer is grateful for Kouzhen's help and gives her a jade flute as a token of his appreciation. Kuaizhen asks Tiemuer who is prettier in comparison with the Mongolian women in Jiangnan, and Tiemuer is reminded of Lijun.
Yong E dresses up for Lijun and scares everyone. When Lijun wants to change rooms with Yong'e because of the cockroaches in her room, Yong'e makes a fool of herself by showing her wrong feelings. Yong E realizes that the bandits are suffering from the chaff and blames herself, but Lijun suggests a plan to solve the problem. Shaohua finally finds his senior colleagues in the police station, but sees that they are old, so he withdraws from the game. Tie Muer suggests Kublai to travel to Jiangnan, but Kublai misses the days in the grassland.
Episode 7: Lijun Discovers Shaohua's Identity
Ku Geochih's unauthorized transfer of relief funds to increase armaments is the subject of a dispute between Bo Yan and him. Lijun teaches the bandits to reorganize and reward them for catching the imperial criminals. Unexpectedly, the bandits run into Shaohua and find out that he is an imperial criminal, so they lead him into the woods, where Lijun is horrified to see that it is her third brother, Wang Shigang, who comes to her rescue, and they fall into a trap. Shao-hua told her that he had offended Liu Jie in a martial arts competition and had become a criminal. Lijun realized that the man in front of her was Huangfu Shao-hua and slapped him angrily.
Ronglan thinks that Lijun can go back home after recognizing Shao Hua, but Lijun wants to hide her identity. Liu Jie is furious and decides to execute Huang Fu Jing. Shiyuan is planning to go to Jiangnan to seek justice for his friend, but he suddenly hears that Huangfu Jing has been sentenced to death and becomes anxious. The bandits were once benefited by Huang Fu Jing, and when they learn that Shao Hua is his son, they treat him with respect. Ronglan tries to persuade Lijun to accept Shaohua, but to no avail. Lijun tries to find out how Shao Hua feels about her, but she doesn't realize that she has such a good impression on him that she almost reveals her identity, and then she falsely claims that she is Lijun's cousin, and that she is in love with Lijun, so that she wants him to give up.
Zi Ru is caught alive by Kui Bi, who threatens Shiyuan with the help of him. The bandits plan to rob the court to save Huangfu Jing. Lijun senses the danger of the hijacking and asks Ronglan to go home, and asks her to take a poisonous oath to keep her whereabouts secret. Shaohua asks Lijun to do a supportive job and arranges carriages for all of them to avoid the danger. Before her departure, Yong E shyly gave Lijun a peace talisman as a token of her love.
Eighth Episode: The Robbers Save Huangfu Jing
Shi Yuan wants to bring food to the court to give Huangfu Jing a ride, but Meng's wife is determined to prevent him and Ziru from going to the court, which makes it difficult for Shi Yuan. When Ronglan returns home, Yingxue tricks her into revealing Lijun's whereabouts, but Ziru overhears. When Lijun fails to hire a horse to pull her cart in town, Lijun tries to hire a horse by showing the jade pendant of Tiemuer according to the tip of the post store owner, but she gets an unexpected reward. Lijun decides to go to the court to lend a helping hand despite the danger, but Lijun is outmatched and wounded by an arrow. At the critical moment, a man in black rushes into the court and successfully saves Huangfu Jing, and all of them are able to escape.
The man in black turns out to be Huangfu Jing's former colleague, Wen Near East, who divides the crowd into two groups to cover Huangfu Jing. Near East took Lijun and Shaohua to the hut and introduced them to the last of the Song Dynasty. The last of the Sung Dynasty, the last of the Sung Dynasty, was a young man, and when he found out that he had to leave the hut and go to the mountain fortress for refuge, he said he was tired of the situation and preferred to live in obscurity instead of being the emperor.
Kublai agrees with Tiemuer's suggestion to negotiate peace with Goryeo, but Kukor Chee is dissatisfied and questions Tiemuer's low status, which is not suitable to receive the prince of Goryeo, but Kublai decides to appoint Tiemuer as the Prince of Zhenyuan. Episode 9: Shaohua's Misunderstanding of Lijun's Love of Dragon and Yang
Lijun sees that Near East has taken Shaohua as his disciple and suggests that he take Yong'e as his disciple as well, which Near East agrees to do, and everyone drinks to celebrate their apprenticeship. Lijun and Ziru get Shaohua and Yong'e drunk and plan to make them sleep together in the same room, but Lijun wakes up to see Shaohua sleeping beside her, and angrily accuses him of taking advantage of her. In the meantime, Ziru screams, but it turns out that he has also mistakenly entered Yung Ngor's room to sleep. Lai Kwan decides to make the best of her mistake and set them up. When Ziru sees that Lijun refuses to marry Shaohua, he realizes that she is still thinking about Tiemuer.
Kublai sent his men to assassinate the Crown Prince of Goryeo, but they failed and became angry with his subordinate, Bashi Ba. The bandits misunderstand Ziru's words and think that Lijun is a Dragon Yang and advise Shaohua to be careful. Lijun and Ziru plan to escape from the mountain, but they accidentally fall from a tree and are seen embracing each other by Shaohua, who then believes what the bandits said. Kui Bi threatens Shiyuan to betroth Lijun to Ziru and sends guards to monitor the Meng family. After thinking it over, she asks Shiyuan to let her marry Lijun in her place.
Episode 10: Ying Xue Marries Kui Bi to Repay Her Kindness
Rong Lan claims to have gone out to buy bird's nests for Lijun, and goes up to the cottage to ask for Lijun's help, but she is mistaken for a spy, and is beaten up innocently. Shao Hua and Lijun want to go down to the mountain to rescue them, but the Near East refuses to allow them to do so as they jeopardize the safety of the last emperor. When Lijun and Shaohua sneaked down the mountain, Near East suddenly appeared. Lijun angrily criticized him for being unsympathetic, but Near East unexpectedly praised her and even gave Shaohua a sword for her journey. Kui Bi suddenly raises the wedding date and sends the necessary items to Meng's house. Ying Xue learns that Shiyuan is planning to deal with Kui Bi alone, and she has a decision to make.
When Kui Bi comes to Meng's house to ask for help, Shiyuan draws his sword and is defeated. After wearing a wedding dress, Yingxue thanked her parents for their kindness, and went to the sedan chair with Kui Bi, and Shiyuan and his wife cried bitterly. Lijun, Ziru, Shaohua and Yung Eu sneak into Liu's house to rescue Ying Xue, but they find Liu's house empty, fortunately Yan Yu guides them to find out that Ying Xue is in the stone boat. Lijun and the others spend the whole night searching for the red shoes, but only find Yingxue's silk scarf. Thinking that Lijun is dead, Shaohua takes out the jade bracelet that he intended to give to her, and tells her his heartfelt words and she sheds tears of love, which touches Lijun. Kui Bik accuses Shih Yuan of abetting his daughter to murder her husband and sends someone to escort Shih Yuan back to the court for trial. When Shiu Wah tries to save Shi Yuan, Kui Bik orders his men to arrest him and take him back to the court.
Episode 11: Lijun and Shaohua Go to the Metropolis
Shaohua threatens Kui Bik with a sword and asks him to let Shiyuan go, but Yan Yu appears and begs him to spare Kui Bik's life, but Kui Bik uses her as a shield and forces Shaohua to retreat. When Lijun and the others enter the city in disguise to find out news about Shiyuan, they are intercepted by the officials. Luckily, Yanyu shows up in time to save them and even accepts them to stay at his late mother's former residence. Lijun bribes the witnesses and keeps the officials busy, so she takes the opportunity to contact Ronglan and return home to see her mother with Ziru disguised as a woman of the night.
Wu Yuan Yin puts Shi Yuan on trial, and Shi Yuan sues Kui Bi, but he is accused of slandering him. Wu Yuan Yin wants to convict Shi Yuan, but the villagers criticize him, and the magistrate sees that the crowd is very angry. Lijun visits Shi Yuan and encounters Kui Bi, but she pretends to be "Wei Zi Yin" to collect a debt from Shi Yuan. Kui Bi is afraid of offending the Mongolians, so she lets him in. Shi Yuan refuses to leave the prison with Lijun as he does not want to be accused of being a criminal and absconding. Lijun sees that the prisoners in Shi Yuan's neighboring barn are given preferential treatment because they know the Mongols, and suggests that he should use the power of Timur, but Shi Yuan refuses to be sheltered by the Mongols, and asks Lijun to go to the capital city to seek help from his old friends.
Lijun shows the jade pendant of Tiemuer to Hu Yuan Yin, who is very respectful at the sight of the pendant and promises to deal with Shi Yuan's case impartially. When Shao Hua and Lijun decide to go to Metropolis to look for Shiyuan's old friends, Lijun's mother gives Shao Hua Lijun's self-portrait as a souvenir and hints that the person in the painting is near and far, but Shao Hua is unable to understand her intention. Kui Bik is threatened and finds a note from Shao Hua to Yan Yu and scolds Yan Yu. Episode 12: The Rescue of Ying Xue
Lijun searches for the source of the flute but no one is there. Ronglan suspects that it is Shaohua who is playing the flute, but unfortunately, Shaohua has thrown the flute away, and Lijun decides that he is incapable of playing such a beautiful piece of music. Kui Bik plans to take YAN Yuk down to the aged owner of a dried seafood store. YAN Yuk decides to run away from home and go to the capital to look for her father. When Kui Bik sees YAN Yuk missing, he is worried that she will complain to LIU Chit and rushes to the capital to look for her father. Yingxue was rescued by the southbound ship of Kugo Chi, and woke up after many days of coma. When the troupe discovers Lijun, Lijun has to make up a story about going to the capital to win their sympathy, and the troupe master agrees to let them stay. Episode 13: Lijun as a Flower Girl
