Pharmacological effects

1. Effects on the heart: Ligustrazine can inhibit myocardial contraction in isolated guinea pig hearts, slow down the heart rate, increase cardiac perfusion and reduce whole blood flow. Viscosity, relieves the spasmodic contraction of isolated aorta in rabbits and rats, and has a protective effect on isolated rat myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. 2. Increase coronary flow. Ligustrazine can increase coronary flow in a dose-dependent manner. Intravenous injection of 7.5, 15, and 30 mg/kg of ligustrazine into anesthetized dogs will dilate coronary blood vessels and increase coronary flow. Its mechanism of action may be to reduce intracellular calmodulin content and inhibit the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells.
