The terrain of the county is high in the northwest and south, and low in the middle and east. Hills are widely distributed, which are extensions of Tianmu Mountain and Moganshan Mountain. Plum Coilia
Plum Coilia, commonly known as Coilia ectenes, also known as Coilia ectenes and Coilia ectenes, is also called anchovies because its tail is forked, short and red, narrow and long, like anchovies, so it is also called anchovies, which is the same as whitebait and white shrimp in Taihu Lake. The flesh of Coilia elata is tender and delicious, and it is rich in nutrition, especially the tender bones and fish eggs, which contain a lot of calcium, so it is a good nourishing product. May be steamed and eaten fresh, or dried in the sun. The best way to eat is deep-frying. Take fresh Coilia japonica, wash it, dry it, and fry it in an oil pan. White Shrimp
The scientific name of Taihu White Shrimp is "Beautiful White Shrimp", which is one of the "Three Treasures of Taihu Lake". The shrimp is transparent and white when cooked, hence its name. White shrimp has a thin shell, tender meat, delicious taste and high nutritional value. Every 1 grams of white rice shrimp contains 47.6 grams of protein. "The ice is all green and the whitebait is rushing; Fresh floating white jade plate, no need to explore the inner point. " This is a poem praising whitebait by Wang Shucheng, a poet of Ming Dynasty. According to historical records, as early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Taihu Lake was rich in whitebait.
There are two kinds of whitebait in Taihu Lake: big whitebait and short snout whitebait. The former is 8-2 cm long and the latter is 3-6 cm long. Whitebait is one of the main economic fish in Taihu Lake and one of the main products of freshwater fish export trade in China, with its slender body, shape like Hosta and transparent meat color, and its annual output is about 1, tons. Our county is located in the southwest bank of Taihu Lake, and it is one of the main fishing places for whitebait. Since 1995, our county has carried out artificial propagation of whitebait in Taihu Lake, and produced nearly 4 million fertilized eggs of whitebait of different sizes, which were successfully transplanted to more than 2 reservoirs in the province for proliferation and exile, and were designated as "the original seed supply base of Taihu Lake" by Zhejiang Fishery Bureau.
