Growing environment and conditions of water chestnut
1. Temperature
Water chestnut likes to grow in a warm and humid climate and has a strong demand for sunlight. Long sunshine is good for it. It is beneficial to the growth and development of water chestnuts. The suitable climate during planting is best kept at about 25 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius. When flowering and bearing fruit, the temperature needs to reach about 20-30 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is lower than 15 degrees Celsius, water chestnuts will basically stop growing.
2. Soil
Water chestnut has strict requirements on soil. It needs fertile and loose soil. The thickness of underwater silt must be more than 20cm. Most of its nutrients come from the soil. The three elements of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium absorbed will make the water chestnut grow strong.
