There is not necessarily only one pear vortex, some people have two, and some people have no pear vortex. Let’s introduce the pear dimple:
1. Pear dimple and dimple
The pear dimple is located about 1 centimeter below and outside the corner of the mouth. The pear dimple is smaller than the dimple and has no obvious dimple.
When we "smile" when we make expressions, if the muscles of the face (zygomaticus major, zygomaticus minor, and laugh muscle) affect each other and produce a depression, that is a "dimple." But some people call it "Laughing Nest", or it has another name "Pear Nest" due to its different location and size.
Not everyone has dimples, and people with dimples may have different shapes, heights, and depths. Broken down, dimples are located within about 3 centimeters of the upper and outer corners of the mouth, and come in two types: round and linear. Generally, the dimples are most visible when making a smiling expression.
There is another pit on the face, called the pear pit. The pear fossa is located about 1 centimeter below and outside the corner of the mouth. The pear fossa is smaller and less obvious than the dimple. The main difference
The dimple is located within about 3 centimeters from the upper and outer side of the corner of the mouth, while the pear dimple is located about 1 centimeter from the lower and outer side of the corner of the mouth. The pear dimple is smaller and less obvious than the dimple.
2. Li Guo smiled
It was not until Xiaozong came to the throne that Hu Quan was appointed again. In Guangzhou, Hu Quan fell in love with a woman named Li Qian (it is said that Li Qian was a courtesan, but this is based on Yuan Mei's account). According to the "Notes on the Complete Works of Zhu Xi" by Song Shilie of the Joseon Dynasty, Li Qian was a married woman. The husband discovered the affair between Hu Quan and Li Qian and forced Hu Quan to eat ganoderma lucidum (horse feed mixed with ganoderma lucidum and beans). "Anyone who refuses to do so will be killed." Hu Quan had no choice but to suffer the humiliation of eating ganoderma lucidum.
Later, Hu Quan and Li Qian returned to the north from the place where they were demoted. On the way, Hu Quan drank in Hu's Garden in Xiangtan. While slightly tipsy, he wrote a poem on the wall, saying: "You are kind enough to return to this drunken state, and there is a slight vortex on the cheek of a pear next to it." The so-called "little vortex on the cheek of a pear" is Li Qianye.
Therefore, "pear vortex" originally refers to the dimples of Li Qian, a prostitute in the Song Dynasty. Later, it is generally called the dimples on a woman's cheeks, a woman's smiling face, or dimples. Also known as "vortex".
The origin of pear vortex
Volume 12 of "Helin Jade Dew" by Song Dynasty and Luo Da Jing: "Hu Dan'an was demoted overseas for ten years. On the day he returned to the north, he drank in Hu's garden in Xiangtan. The poem says: "I was so drunk when I returned from your kindness, and there were slight dimples on my cheeks." It's called Li Qian, the courtesan. "Poetry to Warn Oneself" No. 2: "In the past ten years, I have been light in the lakes and seas, but I have feelings when I return to the pear vortex. The road in the world is not as dangerous as a person's desire, and several people have missed their lives here."
Qing Yuhuai's "Ban" "Qiao Miscellaneous Notes·Anecdotes": "What a shame for a person when he hears "The river is full". Returning to see Lidou, who can send him away?"
Su Manshu's "Not a Dream": "At this time, the girl is red. Pear Nest, I am so solemn that I want to retreat.”
