The little daisy on the roadside is not chamomile.

Small daisies and chamomile difference:

Different appearance:

The small daisy and chamomile are obviously different in appearance. The plant of the little daisy is short, around 10 centimeters in height. The leaves are basal and spoon-shaped.

The chamomile plant is taller, between 30-50 centimeters tall. The plants are fragrant. The leaves are two to three times pinnatisect. So looking at the two compared to the dwarf is a small daisy.

Difference in Flowering:

The daisy is a solitary head with hemispherical or broadly campanulate involucral bracts, nearly two-layered, pilose outside, and one-layered ligulate flowers with a white or pinkish ligule.

While chamomile is a terminal or axillary head, the outer corolla is ligulate and white. The inner corolla is tube-shaped and yellow.

Differences in fruit shape:

The achenes of the little daisy are obovate, with marginal veins and fine hairs on them. Chamomile, on the other hand, has smaller, oblong achenes with smaller seeds.

Different growth habits:

Daisies like to grow in cool climates, preferring light, but also tolerating semi-shade. The soil requirements are not strict, the general garden soil can ensure vigorous growth.

And chamomile like light enough to ventilate the environment, intolerant of shade. The soil requirements are high, with a deep layer of soil, loose, well-drained soil.
