Haitian soy sauce is a Chinese brand, not a Japanese brand.
Haitian is a seasoning manufacturer with a long history, and is one of the "old Chinese brands" announced by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. Its products cover more than 200 specifications and types in eight series, including soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, seasoning sauce, chicken essence, monosodium glutamate, oil and small seasonings.

Haitian Soy Sauce was restructured from a privately owned enterprise to a limited company in August 1995.

With the full implementation of Gaoming's 150-ton fund project, in November 2018, the company's production capacity of soy sauce, hot sauce and oyster sauce increased to 1.85 million tons, 300,000 tons and 630,000 tons, respectively.
