Extended data:
Loquat is suitable for warm and humid climate, and it needs high temperature during its growth and development. The annual average temperature 12- 15℃, not less than -5℃ in winter, and not less than 0℃ in flowering and young fruit period. The average annual rainfall in its main producing areas is above 1000 mm, but too much rain in spring tends to make the branches grow white, which is suitable for growing in gentle slope mountains with good drainage in rainy areas.
Loquat has strong adaptability to soil, but in sandy loam with deep soil layer, loose soil, high humus content, strong water and fertilizer conservation and difficult water accumulation, pH value is about 6. Because both plains and gentle slopes can grow, it is suitable for mountains and hills.
