Jinping County in Guizhou Province belongs to Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture.

Guizhou, abbreviated as Qian or Gui, is a provincial-level administrative region of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China. Guiyang, the provincial capital, is located in the hinterland of southwest China's inland region. It is a transportation hub in southwest China and an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The country's first national-level big data comprehensive pilot area, a world-renowned mountain tourism destination and mountain tourism province, a national ecological civilization pilot area, and an inland open economy pilot area. It is bordered by Sichuan and Chongqing in the north, Hunan in the east, Guangxi in the south and Yunnan in the west.

Topography

Jinping County is located in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the western Hunan hilly transition zone, the landscape is broken, the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The western and southwestern part of the county is a low mountainous area, the central and northeastern part of the county is a low mountain valley area, and the southeastern part of the county is a low mountainous basin and dam area.

The mountains in Jinping County are the remnants of the Miao Ridge, with six peaks above 1,200 meters in elevation, of which Longganshan in the territory of Guben Township is 1,344.7 meters above sea level, the highest point in the county. Maoping Qingshui River exit at an altitude of 282 meters, the lowest point in the county.
