1, the biological species are different: king crab belongs to the decapoda crooked tail suborder stone crab family, more commonly known as Kamchatka stone crab, which does not belong to the real crab; and the long-footed crab belongs to the decapoda short-tailed suborder fan crabs, also known as Alaskan emperor crab.
2, different places of origin: king crab in addition to a small amount of fishing in the waters of Southeast Alaska, the golden king crab can be caught throughout the year in the Aleutian Islands in very deep waters, and no quota restrictions; long-footed crabs are mainly from the northern North American Pacific Ocean and other cold waters, the Bering Sea and the Sea of Japan in the deep sea.
