1. Haidilao Membership System The first thing we need to talk about is Haidilao’s membership system. Haidilao’s new membership system was implemented in October 2018.
When I was writing this article, I saw that Haidilao had released another notice. Starting from January 2020, the membership system will be updated again, but the update will not change much.
For Haidilao members, my suggestion is that no matter how infrequently you eat Haidilao, you must register as a member.
The introduction to the rules section is always boring, but you still need to have a general understanding.
1. Haidilao membership registration methods and level rules Haidilao membership registration methods mainly include: Haidilao APP, Haidilao WeChat official account, and Haidilao store ordering pad.
Member level rules: Haidilao membership is divided into four levels: Red Sea, Silver Sea, Golden Sea, and Black Sea.
Membership levels are not permanent, but dynamically determined.
Member points are called coins.
It is mainly obtained by members spending at Haidilao stores in mainland China, and 1 yuan is equal to 1 Lao coin.
You can also get coins by participating in games or community interactions on the Haidilao APP.
The membership level is currently determined based on growth value.
The growth value is mainly calculated based on the total value of coins obtained by members in the last 6 months and the reward growth value (the number of purchases in the store in the last 6 months X 100).
It can be seen that the current rules are divided according to the growth value obtained by members in the past 6 months. A grading decision will be made on the 1st of each month. Those who reach the corresponding level of growth value will be upgraded, and those who cannot reach the growth value will be downgraded (at most only within 6 months).

After Haidilao membership upgrade 2.0, after January 2020, the calculation period will be extended from 6 months to 12 months.
In other words, from next year, promotion and downgrade will be calculated based on the growth value obtained by members in the last 12 months, making it easier to upgrade and maintain Haidilao membership.
Members who were originally stuck in the Gold Sea level will be upgraded to Black Sea membership in large numbers.
Below are two simple examples based on the new rules for better understanding.
(1) Little M is an old member.
On January 1, 2020, the system re-determined Little M’s membership level. The growth value is based on the total growth value obtained by Little M from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
More than 1W2 is the Black Sea, more than 6000 but less than 1W2 is the Golden Sea, more than 2000 but less than 6000 is the Silver Sea, and less than 2000 is the lowest level Red Sea.
(2) Little M is a newly registered member.
The frequency of eating Haidilao is about 2 times a month, and the consumption is about 300 yuan each time. The monthly earning coins from APP games and interactions are about 200, and the growth value obtained by Little M every month is about (2 x 302

month; if the growth value obtained in 12 months exceeds 12,000, it can be upgraded to Black Sea.
2. Why should you register as a member of Haidilao? As for why you should register as a member of Haidilao, let’s talk about the rights and interests of members.
Haidilao membership rights mainly include the following three aspects.

I believe everyone who eats Haidilao knows how time-consuming it is to wait for a seat at a Haidilao store.
There may be no so-called off-peak periods throughout the day during holidays, and it is very common to wait in line for more than two hours during peak periods on weekdays.
Members can make reservations or queue in advance on the Haidilao APP or WeChat official account (Alipay can also queue) to reduce the time of waiting for a seat on site.

The coins obtained through dining or Haidilao APP games and interactions can be exchanged for dishes, vouchers, commodities, etc., which is a real discount.

In addition, since Haidilao membership is divided into levels, members of different levels will naturally have different membership rights.
Let’s take the Black Sea membership as an example to explain why. Every fishing friend hopes to be a Black Sea member.

Black Sea members have dedicated customer service on the Haidilao APP. If you contact the dedicated customer service at least 2 hours in advance for dining in the store, priority will be given to reduce waiting time.
