How to make crispy dried pumpkin
1. Fresh pumpkin (there are different types of pumpkin, Do as you like)
2. Wash the pumpkin, peel off the skin on the surface, and remove the flesh inside. Then slice it into strips and cut it into 1.5 cm thick slices, a little longer. It can be shorter
3. Put it directly into the air dryer to dry until it is dry, about 6 hours, about 58 degrees.
4. Wash the dried pumpkin. Mix with chili pepper, glutinous rice flour, and edible salt, and steam until cooked.
5. After steaming, let it air-dry for 2 hours until the pumpkin is dry and crispy. There is no need to add sugar during the process, because there is sufficient sugar in the pumpkin, and it tastes sweet like pumpkin after drying. It’s waxy, dry and crispy and very chewy.
Notes:
Do not steam and air-dry directly for convenience, because after steaming, the pumpkin will be mushy and will stick to the grid, so don’t do it for convenience.
