Puri is a kind of fried crisp, which is spherical and hollow in appearance. Before eating, vendors crush the surface of Puri with their fingers to form a hole, and then fill the hole with stuffing. Each family has different fillings, but most of them are onions and chopped tomatoes with some curry or other spices, and some are eaten with chilled mint-flavored juice. It is a very popular street snack in India.
