Taicang specialties include: Eriocheir sinensis, Taicang taro, Taicang waste oil, Taicang meat floss, Taicang white garlic and so on.
1. Eriocheir sinensis: commonly known as hairy crabs, is delicious and nutritious, and has always been regarded as the top grade. Every 1g of crab contains 14% protein, 5.9% fat and 7% carbohydrate. In addition, it also contains vitamin A, riboflavin and nicotinic acid, and its calorific value exceeds the nutritional level of ordinary fish, making it a famous food in China. 5. Taicang white garlic: Taicang white garlic is mainly produced in Xintang Township, Taicang. It is one of the four famous white garlic in China, and it is as famous as Jiading in Shanghai, Cangshan in Shandong and White Garlic in Xinjiang.
