"Three soups and one side" (beef soup, mutton soup, donkey meat soup, braised noodles) are men's favorite, and "three skins and one side" (rice skin, cold skin, rolled dough, rice noodles) are of course the first choice for ladies.

Soup restaurants are everywhere in Luoyang. There are beef soup restaurants, mutton soup restaurants, donkey meat soup restaurants, meatball soup restaurants, tofu soup restaurants and many other soup restaurants all over the streets. Some people say that Luoyang people can drink half of the soup in a year.

It’s true that it’s a West Lake. If you come to Luoyang and haven’t tasted Luoyang’s soup, you’ve come to Luoyang in vain.

There are eight soups in Luoyang, four meat and four vegetarian.

Four meat soups: mutton soup, beef soup, donkey meat soup, liver soup); four vegetarian soups (tofu soup, meatball soup, non-turning soup, powder soup).

There are 24 water banquets in Luoyang, 8 cold and 16 hot, with peony agarwood as the first course.

Generally, people in Luoyang mainly drink soup for breakfast, such as hot and spicy soup, tofu curd, half and half (half and half spicy soup and tofu curd, the way Luoyang people eat is really good), fried dough sticks, soy milk, egg pancakes, and pies.

There are many kinds of snacks.

Lunch mainly consists of braised noodles, shaved noodles, casserole noodles, muddy noodles, and starched noodles.

So some people say that people in Luoyang drink soup for breakfast and noodles for lunch.
