Sanhe Rice Dumplings, also known as Lujiang Dawan Dumplings, are traditional snacks of the Han people in Hefei, Anhui Province. They can be found in Sanhe Town, Feixi County, Lujiang County and parts of the main city of Hefei, Hefei City, Anhui Province.

The stuffed dumplings made from this indica rice flour are very famous and are known as "Sanhe Rice Dumplings".

It was closely related to Chen Yucheng, a young general of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

Chen Yucheng was born in Teng County, Guangxi. At the age of 14, he participated in the Jintian Uprising led by Hong Xiuquan.

He followed the Taiping Army to fight across the country for a long time and made many military exploits.

In the fourth year of Xianfeng's reign in the Qing Dynasty, he led the Taiping Army to conquer the important town of Wuchang in one fell swoop. Then he followed Qin Richang to defeat the Qing Admiral Kong Guangshun in Yingshan, and killed the Qing Xi'an general Zarafen in Suizhou.

Chen Yucheng's Taiping army was invincible, and the Qing army was frightened.

Soon, he was awarded the title of Prime Minister by Hong Xiuquan, the King of Heaven.

In the following years, he fought everywhere and broke through the Jiangbei camp, the main force of the Qing army, several times, effectively protecting the security of Tianjing, and was awarded the post of commander-in-chief of the former army by the King of Heaven.

In 1858, Chen Yucheng led the Taiping Army to a decisive battle with the Hunan Army, another main force of the Qing army, in Sanhe Town, Hefei, Anhui.

The young commander took the lead and rushed into the enemy's formation. The entire army was inspired and all fought bravely to kill the enemy.

The Taiping Army was like a divine force descended from heaven. After several days of hard fighting, it completely annihilated Li Xubin's troops of the Hunan Army, completely reversing the unfavorable military situation of the late Chinese Empire.

In recognition of Chen Yucheng's illustrious military exploits, the Heavenly King Hong Xiuquan awarded him the title of "King of England".

This is the famous "Victory of Three Rivers" of the Taiping Army in history.

Chen Yucheng's great achievements will always be recorded in the annals of history.

King Chen Yucheng's army loved the people and maintained strict military discipline wherever they went, without committing any crimes.

The people of Sanhe Town supported the Taiping Army. During the most difficult days of the fighting, every household gave food and drinks to the Taiping Army soldiers.

Among them, the most popular one among the Taiping soldiers was "Sanhe Rice Dumplings".

After that, Chen Yucheng and the Taiping Army traveled all over the south and north of the Yangtze River, and the reputation of "Sanhe Rice Dumplings" was also spread to various places, and it remains as famous as it was back then.
