Grandma’s Dumpling House will be broadcast on CCTV-17 from March 16, 2021.

"Grandma's Dumpling House" is directed by Wang Xiaoming and stars Chen Xiaoyi and He Zhengjun.

Using "dumplings" as a traditional Chinese delicacy as a clue, it tells the story of a woman, Jiang Guifang, who opened and operated "Grandma's Dumpling House" with her family of five children.

Behind the core object "Grandma's Dumplings" actually lies the traditional Chinese culture based on Confucianism.

The record of "dumplings" first appeared in the Confucian classic "Book of Rites". For more than two thousand years, it has been a symbol of good luck, reunion and celebration.

"Grandma's Dumpling House" takes "dumplings" as the clue, family love and reunion as the theme; takes the forty years of reform and opening up as the time context, uses the fate of small people to witness the development of the great era, and focuses on the reform and opening up through the changes in the lives of ordinary Chinese people.

The new life and changes come, pursuing micro-innovation in the story, and playing the emotional card of ordinary people.

"Grandma's Dumpling House" uses "dumplings", a traditional Chinese food, as a concrete representation, integrating the fireworks and human touch of the Chinese small table into it, and using a simple and natural narrative method to convey the maternal love and "family" contained in the food.
