Ertan Reservoir is a huge artificial lake formed by the construction of Ertan Hydropower Station. Before the treatment, the people of Yumen Town in the tailrace area of Ertan Reservoir put cages in the water to raise fish. At the most prosperous time, the output is very considerable, and it is known as one of the three major freshwater fish culture bases in China. The Flower and Fish Festival held in Yumen Town every year is very lively, and fish merchants from all over the country come here to discuss cooperation.

1 Legend of Ertan Fishing

Cage fish farming depends on artificial feeding. The flowing river will flow the bait thrown into the cage to the outside of the cage, which will attract wild fish in the reservoir area to compete for food outside the cage.

Cage fish farmers saw business opportunities and developed another way to make money.

They use floating objects such as empty petrol cans or foam to make a raft platform (there is a house in the center to shelter from the wind and rain), which can be used by fishermen after charging a certain fee. Fishermen fish on such platforms, and most of them gain a lot.

I know a little friend. Several years ago, he and a friend once went fishing on the raft platform in the reservoir area. The two of them got on the raft platform on Friday evening and left on Sunday evening, catching about 15 Jin of wild river fish. On the way, it was sold to a restaurant specializing in fish at a low price of 1 yuan money per catty, and everyone got more than 7 yuan.

There are many similar legends, which make many fishermen want to try their hand in Ertan reservoir area.

2 We went fishing in Ertan

This weekend, several of our friends made an appointment to go fishing in Yumen Town in the tailrace area of Ertan Reservoir. When we set out on Friday afternoon, it rained heavily. Our car drove on the rainy mountain road for two hours, and finally arrived at the farmhouse in the tail water of the reservoir area, which provided accommodation for anglers. The heavy rain continued, so the original planned night fishing had to be postponed until the next day.

a few years ago, in order to protect the cleanliness of water resources in the Yangtze river, Panzhihua city carried out a comprehensive clean-up of cage fish culture in accordance with national requirements. Now, there are no fish cages in the whole reservoir area. Therefore, we can only fish on the river bank.

3 fishing for a day, accidents happen again and again

The next morning, the heavy rain that rained all night finally stopped, and we brought our equipment to the fishing ground by the river. There are already fishing friends fishing around. A man fished for one night and caught about 5 or 6 Jin of fish, mainly small fish such as crucian carp and Luo Fei. On the eve of the fisherman's departure, he caught another big carp weighing about 6 or 7 kilograms, which made the fishermen around him envious.

soon, we also spread out the battlefield. After finishing a series of actions, such as spreading the nest and lowering the hook, our eyes are fixed on the floating fish on the water. Every little friend wants his float to be blacked out by big fish (fishing jargon means that the float can't be seen when the fish is pulled under the water), and then he pulls it up.

to our dismay, most of the floats didn't make much noise. Only small fish keep biting the bait. In the process of lifting the pole, the hooks of several friends frequently hooked on weeds and branches at the bottom of the water, and as a result, about 1 fishing lines were pulled off.

after noon, the situation of fish not eating began to change. We caught small fish one after another. I caught a small tilapia first, with a bulging stomach, obviously full of the bait we threw down. We predicted that the big fish should come soon.

Sure enough, there was a black float on a rod of my little friend next to me, and he hurried to take the rod and pull it. At this moment, his other fishing rod quickly drifted black, and with a whoosh, the fishing rod was dragged into the water by the big fish and floated to the center. This change has made us in a hurry.

It's a pity to lose my friend's fishing rod, which is very expensive. He hurriedly rowed a boat parked by the river to catch up. After a long chase, I finally caught up with it. He picked up the fishing rod, and the fish was still on the fishing rod, struggling in the water, and the fishing rod was bent. We look forward to pulling the big fish ashore. But within two minutes, the fishing line could not bear the double pulling force of the fishing wheel and the big fish pulling out, and it broke with a crash, which frustrated our desire for a delicious meal. Fortunately, the fishing rod came back.

in the following period of time, big fish visited frequently. Another little friend's fishing line was abruptly broken three times, so we had to look at the fish and sigh.

As a novice fisherman, my luck seems to be good. After the opening of Ronaldinho, I caught crucian carp, Ronaldinho and white stripes one after another, with a total of eight, and won the championship of the day. It's just that the fish is too small, which makes me feel ashamed and a little embarrassed.

after a day of fishing, several of our friends missed the big fish. Before dinner, when I was about to throw the caught fish back into the water, the little friend who had broken three fishing lines earlier appeared black drift, so he quickly pulled it, and the people next to him used the net to help, and finally invited this carp weighing two or three pounds to the shore.

4 night fishing

After eating rice, we came to the riverside fishing ground again, expecting a better harvest.

when it's getting dark, we take out the glow-in-the-dark floats we bought in advance and put them on. Other fishing friends around have also changed into luminous floats, and the fishing friend next to me is actually a luminous fishing rod, which looks taller than ours.

In the dark night without moonlight, the luminous lights of fishing friends far and near float like colorful lanterns on the river, which is really beautiful. The luminous float rises and falls with the fluctuation of the water and the touch of the fish. Once the light disappears in the water, the fisherman immediately pulls the fish. I admire the ingenious idea of the inventor, so that fishermen can fish freely at night.

unfortunately, the fish don't eat well when fishing at night. Among us, only the friend who caught the big carp caught two tilapia, and the rest of the friends became air force. The situation of other fishing friends around is roughly the same. At ten o'clock at night, it was about to rain, and after a night fishing, we closed our poles and went back to the farmhouse to sleep.

the next morning, the rainstorm continued. We drove to Yumen Town, ate the famous Yanbian mutton rice noodle in a mutton rice noodle shop called Yina, and then drove back to Renhe.

During this tour of Ertan Reservoir, every partner achieved the goal of catching fish, and we ate our own fish. Although there are not many fish caught, different experiences bring us different experiences. Fishing in the wild nature, the picturesque scenery of water, sky and landscape, brings us a really cool experience, which is far from being compared with fishing in a fish pond.
