English name: K-ON!

"K-ON!" (Japanese: けいおん!) is a four-frame comic work created by Japanese cartoonist kakifly. Its name is taken from the first four words of the Japanese word "light music" (けいおんがく) pseudonym.

The manga has been serialized in Houbunsha's four-panel comic monthly magazine "Manga Flash Time" ("Manga Time Kirara") since the May 2007 issue, and has been serialized since the October 2008 issue. It is serialized every other month in Houbunsha's magazine "Golden Manga Time" ("Manga Time Kirara Carat"). So far, 2 separate volumes have been published.

The TV animation of the same name adapted from Kyoto Animation began broadcasting on April 2, 2009. Currently, 12 episodes of the first season of the animation and 2 extra episodes have been released (one episode is Winter Day!, the other has not yet been aired and will be included in the seventh volume of BD/DVD [1])

"Light Music Girls" tells the story of a four-member girl group starting from scratch in a soon-to-be-defunct light music club. The names of the four heroines are all taken directly from the music group that formed in 1979 and disbanded in 2000. The group P-MODEL, while the last names of other characters are taken from the rock group the pillows founded in 1989.
