The Republic of Lithuania, referred to as Lithuania for short, is located on the east bank of the Baltic Sea, bordering Latvia in the north, Belarus in the east, Poland in the south, the Baltic Sea and Kaliningrad in Russia in the west. The total length of the border line is 1644 km, the coastline is 90 km, and the land area is 65,300 square kilometers. The whole country consists of 60 local administrative units in 7 cities, 43 districts, 8 autonomous institutions and 2 convalescent areas.
Lithuanian characteristics: the local industrial output value accounts for more than two-thirds of the national total industrial output value. Industrial products mainly include lathes, agricultural machinery, electronic calculators and electronic instruments, textiles, clothing, food and so on. There are national universities, civil engineering colleges, fine arts colleges and normal colleges in the city, as well as many theaters, museums and art galleries.
