The Spring Festival in my family almost starts on the 30th of the twelfth lunar month. On this day, every family is the busiest, and few people have anything to do. My sister was busy doing laundry and changing the sheets, and I helped my mother with cleaning the windows, mopping the floor, and cleaning to show a new look in the new year. Of course, couplets, window grilles, and calendars are essential. After cleaning, the home will suddenly become clean, tidy, and beautiful.

On the thirtieth day, the most important thing next to washing clothes is cooking New Year’s Eve dinner. The adults were busy washing and cutting vegetables, making dumplings, and making us a sumptuous New Year’s Eve dinner. We are busy, but we are jumping around, trying our best to help, but we can't help, we can only be anxious. Our New Year's Eve dinner is still chicken, duck, fish and the like as in previous years, but I ate all the desserts during the day when I had nothing to do. I often couldn't eat many of these delicacies, so I had to randomly choose a few to taste them, often leaving a lot behind. The leftovers stunned the parents who had been working hard. But my parents won’t talk about me, because leftovers have become a symbol of having more than enough every year.
