Dongtang Town is located in the southwest of Renhua County, 12km. Administer 16 village committees, 1 neighborhood committees and 196 villagers' groups. The town area is 192.8 square kilometers, and the provincial highway S246 runs through Xuzhen. Xuzhen is rich in mineral resources such as coal, zinc and lead, limestone and iron ore. In 2002, it was identified as one of the central towns by the provincial people's government.
