On holidays, after giving up food, many festival activities are all staged. The "Pig Snatching Festival" is a folk competition held by the She people for a bumper harvest in Qingfeng, and it is a unique folk custom in Jingning, the She nationality township, which has been passed down from generation to generation.
The "Pig Snatching Festival" consists of two parts: "Meeting God" and "Snatching Pig". Before robbing pigs, the village would invite a troupe to perform for seven days and seven nights, and firecrackers, drums and music were not prepared until the last day, and a sacrificial banquet was arranged to worship the fairy Ma Huanghou. All domestic pigs must be slaughtered the day before they meet God.
The next day, when Mao arrived, the "command pig" in the temple gave the first cry, and the whole village raised the pig and went straight to Ma Xian Palace. The first pig brought to the palace gate was placed at the main entrance of Ma Xian Palace, which was called "the first pig", and the rest pigs were arranged in order.
Every village selects some respected old people to evaluate pigs. The largest pig is named Tuo pig, and the smallest pig is named Chang pig. After the three pigs "Shou", "Tuo" and "Chang" are confirmed, a parade will be held to celebrate. After the parade, the singing class blew all the way and sent three pigs back to their owners' home. The host family invited three relatives and six relatives to eat "Kill the Year Pig". Through the "Pig Grab Festival", it indicates good weather, bumper crops and prosperous livestock in the coming year.
Lantern: a children's performance that has been circulating for hundreds of years
At the intersection of Jieyuankeng and water, there is a mountain called Bajiao County. The continuous mountains from south to north, like a fine horse trying to jump over a stream, stick to the bank of Shicang River. At the foot of the mountain is a long and narrow creek beach, where the municipal intangible cultural heritage and Xiabao Natural Village, the birthplace of mountain lanterns, are located.
