Chaohe Town is located in the southeast of Wulian County, 34 kilometers away from the county seat. It borders Jiaonan City in the east, Rizhao City in the south, Weijia Town and Kouguan Town in the county in the west and north respectively. With a total area of 44 square kilometers, the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, mostly hilly, with small plains in between. The soil is mostly brown soil and fluvo-aquic soil, which has strong ability of retaining fertilizer and water. There are 4,3 households and 18,5 people in 26 administrative villages in the town.
the town has a beautiful environment, where four rivers converge, with extremely rich water resources and pleasant climate in four distinct seasons. It has been known as the "land and water wharf" and "Little Jiangnan" since ancient times. The unique natural resources, ecological resources and location advantages have greatly promoted the development of industry and agriculture.
The town is mostly hilly with small plains in between. The traditional crops are mainly wheat, corn and peanuts. After the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure in recent years, five major industries such as vegetables, chestnuts, tea, yellow tobacco and high-yield forests have become the leading industries in the town. At present, there are 9,5 mu of tea gardens, 4, mu of winter warm greenhouses for vegetables, 18, mu of chestnut gardens, 15, mu of high-yield forests and 38, mu of ecological and green economic forests.
