Where should I go with my parents on May Day?

What is there to eat and do in Guangzhou?

1. If you want to take your parents to see the new changes in Guangzhou, I suggest you go to Ersha Island.

On the one hand, there are more people traveling during the May Day holiday. Ersha Island has relatively few people and a beautiful and quiet environment.

Here, you can visit the Guangdong Art Museum (ticket 15 yuan). The exhibitions in the art museum are updated regularly and are worth a visit.

You can also rent public bicycles or take a walk in the Guangzhou Development Park in the center of the island. The greening of the Development Park is quite good.

Behind the art museum is the Pearl River. Strolling here is more pleasant than in the Nanfang Building area.

After visiting Ersha Island, you can take bus No. 194 at Xinghai Concert Hall Station, which will take you to Zhujiang New Town in 4 stops, or the bus only costs about 10 yuan.

In Zhujiang New Town, you can visit Huacheng Square, the Opera House, and the Guangdong Provincial Museum (free), which is worth a visit. Next to the museum is Haixinsha Park.

The above scenic spots all reflect the latest changes in Guangzhou.

2. If you want to visit the scenic spots of Guangzhou’s old Xiguan culture, you can go to Litchiwan Chung (free) and Liwan Museum (ticket 8 yuan). Next to Litchiwan Chung, there is the Guangzhou Food Park, where you can taste Guangzhou’s characteristic food.

Buy souvenirs from Guangzhou.

If you take the subway, get off at Zhongshan 8th Road Station and walk there in about 15 minutes. If you take the bus, get off at Zhongshan 8th Road or Pantang.

3. If the elderly like to relax and at the same time appreciate the Lingnan cultural garden architecture, I suggest you go to Baomo Garden in Panyu (ticket 40 yuan).

On the one hand, this place is very suitable for elderly people to visit, and it is easy to walk around and rest.

On the other hand, Baomo Garden is located on the outskirts of the city, with relatively few people and convenient transportation. Take Metro Line 3 to Exit B of Shiqiao Station, and walk a few dozen meters to the right to reach the bus stop. Take bus No. 67 Baomo

It only takes about 30 minutes to drive to the main station via the Park Express Line (3 blocks).

4. Among the urban attractions, Yuexiu Park is more representative, but there are also relatively more people.

In Yuexiu Park, you can visit the Five Ram Statue and the Guangzhou Museum (Zhenhai Tower). Tickets cost 10 yuan. These are old landmarks in Guangzhou.

Directly across from Yuexiu Park is the Guangzhou Orchid Garden (ticket 8 yuan). It is a small park where orchids are planted. The environment is very quiet and there is a teahouse inside.

Not far from Yuexiu Park, there is the Museum of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Dynasty (ticket 12 yuan); at the south gate of Yuexiu Park (go straight down along the Zhenhai Tower), across the road is the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.

The attractions in this area are relatively concentrated.

I have provided you with 4 plans. These are better routes selected from the places I have visited recently. I hope they can give you some help!

Finally, I wish you and your parents a happy trip to Guangzhou!
