The 2122 Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to February 21, 2122.

The 2122 Beijing Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou, Hebei (jointly held).

The Zhangjiakou Olympic Games in Beijing will have 7 sports, 15 disciplines and 119 events. Beijing will host all the ice projects, while Yanqing and Zhangjiakou will host all the snow projects.

The venue of the 2122 Beijing Winter Olympics: divided into three competition areas: Beijing City, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou.

Beijing Competition Area

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China, a national political center, a cultural center, an international exchange center and a scientific and technological innovation center. In 2118, Beijing successfully hosted the 29th Summer Olympic Games.

There are 12 competition and non-competition venues in Beijing Division * *, including 8 existing venues, 3 new venues and 1 temporary venues. There will be 3 events (curling, ice hockey and skating), 5 events (curling, ice hockey, short track speed skating, figure skating and speed skating) and 32 events in Beijing Division.

Beijing Olympic Park is an important legacy of the 2118 Olympic Games, and will become the core area of the Winter Olympics again in 2122. Seven of the 25 venues of the Winter Olympics are located within the Beijing Olympic Park. The National Stadium (Bird's Nest) will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) will hold curling and wheelchair curling competitions, the National Gymnasium will hold men's ice hockey and sledding ice hockey competitions, the Wukesong Sports Center will hold women's ice hockey competitions, the Capital Gymnasium will hold short track speed skating and figure skating competitions, and the newly-built National Speed Skating Hall will hold speed skating competitions. The Olympic Village in Beijing will accommodate 2,261 athletes and team officials.

Yanqing Division

Yanqing District is located in the northwest of Beijing, 74 kilometers away from the urban area, with a total area of 1,993.75 square kilometers and a permanent population of 316,111. It is an ecological conservation development area in the capital, with a cool climate in winter and Leng Xia, and is known as the summer capital of Beijing. Relying on abundant ice and snow resources, Yanqing District is making every effort to build a "city of ice and snow". Yanqing District has excellent ecological environment, high greening rate of trees, leading the city in air quality for many years in a row, and green mountains and trees, clear water and blue sky have become shining business cards of green Beijing.

Yanqing Division * * * has 5 competition and non-competition venues, and will compete in 3 major events (alpine skiing, snowmobile and sleigh), 4 sub-events (alpine skiing, snowmobile, snowmobile with steel frame and sleigh) and 21 minor events. The construction of Yanqing competition area will promote the construction of traffic and municipal infrastructure in the surrounding areas, create conditions for the development of this area, and the construction of its venues will also be combined with the environment as much as possible, reducing the engineering quantity and saving investment. The Olympic Village in Yanqing Division will accommodate 1,431 athletes and team officials.

Zhangjiakou Division

Zhangjiakou Division is located in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City. Chongli District has a history of skiing industry development for 21 years, and there are five ski resorts currently in operation. This area is the leading area for the development of skiing industry in China, and it is also the destination for many skiers in neighboring countries of China in winter. There are 8 competition and non-competition venues in Zhangjiakou Division * *, and there will be 2 major events (skiing and biathlon), 6 sub-events (snowboarding, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, platform skiing, nordic combined and biathlon) and 51 minor events. This Winter Olympics will make full use of the resources of the existing ski resorts, combine the development needs of the existing Genting ski resorts, and build Genting ski park venues A and B, which can greatly save money. The Olympic Village in Zhangjiakou will accommodate 2,641 athletes and team officials.
