Although there are 8 hammers and 8 drums, there are many teams. In the early days of liberation, there were seven English song teams in the village, which were very active. With the emancipation of the mind, a female English song team was specially organized at that time, and 1953 female English songs performed in the county were well received. In 1950s, in order to show his love for the five-star red flag, he created his own "five-star flashing" array routine, which was well received by the South China Song and Dance Troupe.
Since then, the South China Song and Dance Troupe has been collecting wind in the mud ditch, which is directly guided by artists and has made rapid progress. In the 1960s, Ying Ge, the mud dog, was favored by artists of Beijing Dance Academy when he performed at the Liusha Lighting Stadium, and it was decided that the South China Song and Dance Troupe would be responsible for guiding and handling Ying Ge, the mud dog, and prepare to go to Beijing. Because of the outbreak of the Cultural Revolution, it failed to do so.
Ten years of catastrophe, ten years of English songs. After the Gang of Four was attacked, the English song "Drum" sounded again. Beijing Dance Academy and Guangzhou Dance School visited Nigou Ying Ge in Puning. Because there was no video recorder at that time, I could only record the drums, hammers and footsteps of Ying Ge in Nigou. Teacher Ma, who is far away from Beijing, immediately wrote: "Dancing and dancing is the east wind, and mud ditch is a hero". In 1980s, Nigou Ying Ge team organized performances in Huilai, Lufeng, Jiexi and Chaoyang. It opened the eyes of the local people.
In September, 1989 Guangdong Ying Ge Seminar was held in Puning, and 32 hammers were organized in Nigou County, Peng Qian City, Ying Ge, which was well received by the participating artists. Yang Meiqi, president of Guangzhou Dance School, and Pan Zhitao, director of the National Dance Department of Beijing Dance Academy, led a team to Nigou, and took Nigou as the "experimental field" of Guangzhou Dance School. The two sides made a "contract".
1990 On the Lantern Festival, Puning held an English song performance. Under the leadership of Li Yongxiang, president of Guangzhou Dance School, Huang Rulin, deputy director, and Zhang, a lecturer, Nigou organized 64 people to participate in the sledgehammer shed, bringing forth the new and creating a new level and style. A total of 10 teams participated in the performance, 9 teams were single mallets, and Dunigou English songs were double mallets. Nanshan Ying Ge arranged the first appearance as the leading role, while Nigou Ying Ge arranged the last appearance and played the last role. After watching Ying Ge's performance for five minutes, the audience were reluctant to leave. Leaders and experts on the rostrum smiled and nodded frequently. In the autumn of the same year, Nigou Ying Ge was selected to perform in the "90 China Tourism and Art Festival and Guangdong Happy Festival", which received rave reviews.
1991July, at the invitation of the Shenzhen municipal government, Nigou Ying Ge showed his talents at the "Litchi Festival" in Shenzhen. No matter where Ying Ge goes, it is convenient for many Chaoshan villagers to watch. They said that Ying Ge in Nigou made Chaoshan people breathe a sigh of relief.
In September of the same year, Ying Ge, the mud dog, represented Shantou in the performance of the opening ceremony of the First World Women's Football Championship, and showed her talents in Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium. The live broadcast of Lingnan TV Station (now Guangdong Satellite TV) started the first shot for Chaoshan Ying Ge to go global. After watching it, a reporter from CCTV and a director from changchun film studio shook hands with the head coach and said, Great, this is the real folk square art, and we will make it into a feature film when we are free.
In the same year, 65438+February, Ying Ge went to the provincial capital Nigou again. Tianhe Gymnasium, the production organization of CCTV's "Southeast and Northwest of China", filmed the cover of this road, condensed and refined it, and broadcast it on CCTV for 5 minutes.

In 2004, Macao celebrated the 5th anniversary of its return to China. In 2005, from June 5th to February, it was the Macau International Tourism Festival. Nico Ying Ge was invited to perform again.
In July, 2004, Nigou organized a youth English singing team of more than 20 people, innovated the movements and platforms, put the square art on the stage, participated in the 6th Children's Art Flower Festival in Guangdong Province and the 3rd Asian Children's Folk Art Festival in Qiaofu, and won the gold medal.

After several generations of artistic efforts, the popularity of Nigou English songs has been continuously improved. In 2004, Nigou was named "hometown of art", and Nigou's choreographer and head coach, Mr. Zhang, was also awarded the title of "Excellent Folk Artist in Guangdong Province".
