Matun Town aims to build an advanced manufacturing base, takes the construction of industrial parks as the leader, fully supports key enterprises to become bigger and stronger, accelerates the pace of scientific and technological innovation, and takes the road of new industrialization. Yi Tuo (Luoyang) Lutong Construction Machinery, Henan Hangxiao, Longhua Refrigeration, Hengsheng Copper, Luoyang A Xin Dairy and other influential enterprises with good market prospects have been built successively, and 28 new product development projects have been completed, including phosphorus aminophenol of Luoyang Jingcheng Chemical, Luyang brand road roller of Luoyang Lu Tong Company, medical oxygen-making equipment for oxygen production in Luoyang, etc. It has developed and expanded a number of leading enterprises such as dairy industry in Lu Tong and A Xin. Matun Town has also developed from an industrial small town with only 23 family workshops focusing on casting and machining to 1.6 million individual industrial and commercial households and 4 1.2 private enterprises, forming four industrial systems: chemical industry, building materials, non-ferrous metal processing and machinery manufacturing. There are 40 enterprises above designated size, 3 enterprises with output value exceeding 100 million yuan and 22 industrial towns with tax revenue exceeding 500,000 yuan. In 2007, the total annual industrial output value of the town reached 210.50 billion yuan, and the tax revenue reached 40.03 million yuan, which were 30 times and 60 times that of 15 years ago respectively. For five years in a row, it was awarded the title of "Luoyang Advanced Township in Developing Private Economy" by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, and was awarded the title of "National East-West Cooperation Demonstration Zone for Township Enterprises" by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Luoyang Airport Industrial Park was awarded the "National Demonstration Zone for East-West Cooperation of Township Enterprises" by the Ministry of Agriculture, and was awarded the title of Advanced Township in Small Town Construction by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government in 20001and 2002, and was named "Zhongzhou Famous Town" by the Provincial Construction Department in 2002. In 20001and 2002, it was awarded "Advanced Unit of Ideological and Political Work" by the Municipal Party Committee, and "Advanced Cultural Township in Henan Province" by the Provincial Department of Culture in 2002. In 2000 and 2002, it was rated as "Advanced Unit for Comprehensive Management of Social Security" by the Municipal Committee for Comprehensive Management of Public Security, and was awarded "Provincial Civilized Judicial Office" by the Provincial Department of Justice in May 2003. In 2002, it was rated as "advanced unit of agricultural industrial structure adjustment in Henan Province" by the provincial leading group for agricultural structure adjustment, and the family planning work in 20001year was rated as advanced unit by the municipal party committee. In 2000 and 2002, it was rated as "Advanced Town for Developing Township Enterprises" and "Advanced Town for Developing Private Economy" by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government. Great achievements have been made in party building, and in 2002, it won the honorary title of advanced unit of municipal grassroots construction and "six good" advanced township party committees; 1999 was rated as a municipal civilized town by the municipal party Committee. In 2004, it was awarded the honorary titles of "advanced town of dairy industry development", "advanced town of peony production" and "advanced town of forestry greening" by the municipal party Committee and the municipal government for three consecutive years.
