The construction of Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center started in July 2001 and was completed and put into use in October 2002.

The total area is 580,000 square meters.

It is a large-scale convention and exhibition building built in accordance with the functions of contemporary international conventions and exhibitions. It is a large-scale, comprehensive international convention and exhibition center that integrates multiple functions such as conferences, exhibitions, business, trade, tourism, hotels, food, leisure, and entertainment.

It has complete supporting facilities and can host individual international expositions, national trade fairs and regional theme exhibitions.

The total land area of ??the convention and exhibition center is 34 hectares, with a planned total construction area of ??150,000 square meters and a maximum of 6,000 booths.

With a total construction area of ??72,500 square meters (an additional 15,630 square meters of underground civil air defense mall), it has four exhibition halls with 922 international-standard booths, 4 international conference halls capable of simultaneous interpretation and a 2,400-square-meter multi-function hall.

There is also a hotel with 135 standard guest rooms on the west side of the convention and exhibition center, with a total construction area of ??16,457 square meters. It is a 6-story panel building. On the third floor on the east side of the atrium of the hotel is a large multi-functional hall.

The area can reach 2,700 square meters, the floor height is 14 meters, and the clear height is 9 meters.

It can hold meetings for 1,800 people, fashion shows for 1,500 people, and banquets for 1,000 people.

It can be used as the main venue for large-scale banquets, fashion shows and cultural activities, and also serves as an exhibition hall.

The second and third phases of the Convention and Exhibition Center cover an area of ??about 400 acres, with a total investment of 400 million yuan, of which the total investment in the hotel part is about 100 million yuan.

The first phase of the project covers an area of ??20,000 square meters, with a construction area of ??72,650 square meters and a square area of ??100,000 square meters. The building design is divided into three major areas: exhibition hall, conference center and hotel.

Exhibition Hall 3 covers an area of ??9,600 square meters, and Exhibition Hall 4 covers an area of ??6,000 square meters.

The inverted cone-shaped conference center breaks through the roof and combines with the large platform and time tower to form an "atrium without a roof", creating a distinct sense of space and direction.

The atrium is equipped with escalators, sightseeing elevators, sky corridors, large electronic screens, landscape pools, T-shaped performance stages, and large-scale ecological plants to form a unique "three-dimensional square" space, clearly showing that this is "Wenzhou's iconic building"

The conference center is divided into five floors, with large, medium and small conference halls.

The hotel is located on the west side of the Convention and Exhibition Center. It is a six-story plate building with VIP halls, business bars, restaurants, guest rooms, etc.

The first phase of the Convention and Exhibition Center has a total investment of 340 million yuan. It is Wenzhou's largest, most comprehensive and highest-grade large-scale intelligent exhibition hall that integrates conferences, exhibitions, commerce, hotels, offices and other functions.

The construction site of the third phase of the project is located in Binjiang 18-02 and 18-03, Lucheng District, with a total area of ??more than 30 acres and a total construction area of ??49,801 square meters, including 3 floors above ground*** 37,001 square meters and 1 underground floor**

*12,800 square meters, with a total investment of approximately 400 million yuan.

The 1st and 2nd floor exhibition halls will be the same as the first phase exhibition hall, mainly used for professional exhibitions and comprehensive exhibitions, while the 3rd floor exhibition hall will be built into an art gallery.

With the completion of the third phase of the exhibition hall, the entire convention and exhibition center can basically meet the scale needs of 3,000 standard booths, effectively improving the specifications and level of Wenzhou's convention and exhibition industry, and creating conditions for the introduction of national and even international exhibitions.
