Tang Lin used to work as a waiter in a hometown restaurant in Chinatown. Several Zhejiang guests came to the store. As soon as he sat down, the guest asked, "Does Shaoxing sell stinky tofu?" " After the guests left, he tentatively said to his boss, "Since we can't buy stinky tofu in Australia, why don't we sell it?" The boss thinks that Australians are used to eating western food and are afraid of such strange things as stinky tofu. There will be no market for eating stinky tofu and making stinky tofu.
But Tang Lin never gave up. He firmly believes that China stinky tofu has a market prospect in Australia. So Tang Lin gritted her teeth and decided to go back to China to learn from her teacher.
Tang Lin returned to Australia after a month's apprenticeship. However, just as Tang Lin was setting up a simple stove near the school for business, the police confiscated his tools and warned him that if he sold stinky tofu like this again, he would be severely punished. It turned out that the smell of stinky tofu made Australians really uncomfortable and complained to him.
Tang Lin believes that to open the Australian market, we must first open the market from the Chinese. Therefore, Tang Lin contacted the China Student Union of some universities in Sydney and personally brought stinky tofu to them for free tasting. That month, the store sold more than 80 pieces of stinky tofu.
