Zhaiying Village is located in Zhaiying Town, at the southeastern foothills of Fanjing Mountain, a national nature reserve. On November 17, 2014, Zhaiying Village was included in the third batch of Chinese traditional villages.

On December 31, 2019, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration announced the second batch of national forest villages list, and Zhaiying Village was on the list.
