Chenghai Middle School, founded in September of 19 15, is one of the earliest county-level middle schools in eastern Guangdong. 1914 In April, Chenghai County began to set up modern primary schools, and the number of graduates increased day by day. In the following years, classrooms, auditoriums and school offices built before liberation were completed one after another, and track and field, science museum, library, canteen, medical room and student dormitory were built one after another. 1953, Chenghai County Middle School was renamed Chenghai County No.1 Middle School. 1966, at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, Chenghai No.1 Middle School was renamed Chenghai Hongqi Middle School. Subsequently, Chenghai Middle School was smashed by rebels, teachers and students were driven out of the school gate, and classes were suspended in the city. With the support of the government, the layout of the school buildings in Chengzhong District was re-planned, and architectural experts, original school building designers Mr. Xie and Mr. Lin Shengjian were invited to make a master plan for the school building renovation, and the school building renovation project in Chengzhong District was started. Government grants as start-up funds, Thailand, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and so on. By 1997, the first and second phases of the project were all completed. Except for the school gate, most of the old buildings were demolished, and Yingnan Library, Chunhui Building, Changhai Building, Zefang Building, Sanle Building, canteen and restaurant complex, second and third student dormitories, Jingxing Building and Fengqi Building were successively built. After that, the third phase expansion project was started. 1998 September, Chenghai Middle School stopped enrolling students. In July 2000, Chenghai Middle School graduated from the last junior high school. In September 2000, Chenghai Middle School was closed and transformed into a senior middle school. In April, 2008, Chenghai Middle School passed the teaching level evaluation of Guangdong ordinary high schools and the confirmation and acceptance of national model ordinary high schools.
