Canton Tower, also known as Guangzhou New TV Tower and nicknamed Xiaomanyao, is located on the ground near Chigang Tower in Tianhe District (Yizhou Island), Guangzhou City, China. It has an altitude of 600 meters, 125 meters from the south bank of the Pearl River, and is separated from Haixinsha Island and Zhujiang New Town.

It is a radio tower with a shape similar to the Kobe Port Tower and is mainly for sightseeing and tourism. It has the functions of radio and television transmission, cultural entertainment and city window. It provides broadcast services for the 16th Asian Games held in Guangzhou in 2010.
Canton Tower was constructed by Shanghai Construction Engineering Group and was completed in September 2009.
It will be officially opened to the public on October 1, 2010.

According to reports, the Guangzhou New TV Tower Ferris Wheel is mainly composed of a sightseeing capsule, a track system, a boarding platform, a control system, etc.
Different from the general erected Ferris wheel, the 16 "crystal" sightseeing capsules of the Guangzhou New TV Tower Ferris Wheel are not suspended on the track, but run along the inclined track.
The boarding platform for tourists will be divided into loading and unloading areas, and a 1.2-meter-high safety sliding door will be installed on the edge that can move with the ball cabin to ensure the orderliness and safety of tourists.
Each sightseeing spherical capsule is 3.2 meters in diameter and can "hold" 4 to 6 passengers. The spherical cabin shell is made of new polymer materials and is crystal clear, ensuring that tourists in the cabin have an unobstructed view of the scenery outside the tower.
