At 20:08 on May 5, 2007, Beijing time, China successfully launched the "ChinaSat 6B" communications satellite into space using the "Long March 3B" carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
About 26 minutes after the rocket was ignited and took off, the satellite separated and the satellite entered a geosynchronous transfer orbit with a perigee altitude of 206 kilometers, an apogee altitude of 50,030 kilometers, and an orbital inclination of 24.3 degrees.
