Leizhou Zongzi has a long history and was once known as "the best product in Lingnan". The practice is to take glutinous rice as the skin and add lotus seeds, pork, red dates, mushrooms and so on. Sweet glutinous rice has a long history and is very popular in Leizhou. The production method is to cook glutinous rice into rice, then add wine cake, package it in a relatively sealed container, and ferment it for 36-48 hours if heated at a certain temperature in winter.
